Default Holley customer service ha ha

Hi guys,

Still doing the shake down miles on my backdraft, got approx 700 km on my 408 engine, bought it from engine factory.com already assembled and tested, really pleased with the engine performance and looks, anyway.... cars going well, a few problems with the master cylinder.. fixed that, leaking radiator hose... fixed that, front wheel rub, didn’t fix that yet, and that’s all so far so not bad I was thinking until a couple of weeks ago on a perfect day,car running beautiful when suddenly engine started spluttering and chucking out sooty smoke, limped home cos I was only around the corner, turns out my Holly sniper system stopped reading the 02 sensor, massive over fueling, Hence all the smoke.

So went through the processes, replaced 02 sensor, changed plugs, stripped exhaust headers, new gaskets, bolts etc, pulled and checked all wiring, reran wizard on handheld unit, updated software, these works were all done from advise from the Holley forum over approx 4weeks, lots of chit chat about buggered ECU units with Sniper set up, great site by the way, Nothing Improved the engine, same symptoms persist, Holley main dealer tech hot line.... CRAP service, there’s got to be no one in the tech department, I’m Sure the only response I got was from the bleedin janitor who was cleaning up when my email pinged through to break his monotony!,,

So after several frustrating weeks not being able to use my baby in the mild autumn days in Perth Australia when the searing heat finally gives way to open top driving, emailed Bruce Nelson from engine factory.com. For help, he got back straight away informing me the get in touch with their Holley Rep and tell him I purchased the holleysniper unit with the engine factory.com package............ NOTHING... No response at all... the sound of crickets from the emails..

Now obviously this unit has gotta be under warranty still, unfortunately the main Holley dealers in Australia don’t wanna help cos I bought it straight outta the States, so I’m gunna set fire to the car and go for the insurance claim sighting insanity bought on by Holley customer service.....
anyone else enjoyed the Holley humour ???

Lager,

Email this guy; Doug Flynn, dougflynn@holley.com. He's the Chief Engineer on the Sniper project.

Also, a lot of the tech guys are attending LSFest, so tech dept. is little thin on staffing.

Understand your frustration. I avoid Holley if at all possible after 2 Holley gerotor and one vane fuel pumps failed. Noticed Holley warranties are pretty short now.

I tried the Terminator system. Messed with it for over a year. Went thru three WBO2 sensors at $120 each. Finally tore it all out and went back to a carburetor.

I installed the Terminator setup on my car on a Friday morning, started it at 11am, went to Texas Motor Speedway at 11:30am and proceeded to win the Goodguys Pro class... and three of my competitors were sporting 800HP Warren Johnson engines....

This was after spending 3 years fighting with the FAST EFI system.
