Default Paint Codes for Build #59

Hello all,

I am looking for any assistance the group can give me with tracking down the paint codes for my build. I have #59 and have no paperwork that details the information. Any and all support would be much appreciated. - Many Thanks, Mike

Thats a real good question Mike. There is no list. I'd do a search on the Backdraft forums for paint you'll find quite few threads and frustrated owners all the way back to 2003.
This thread has the most info I've found for the early cars.
Paint codes and make and model years
But the easiest is it to take the car to a paint shop the have it eye matched using a vertical surface and not a horz area like a trunk top where the clear coat has yellowed.

I took my car to a local "Finish Masters" where they use a camera sort of gadget that scans deep into the paint and produces a "recipe" to recreate the color... for both the main color and the stripe color.

Not only did they match the colors perfectly... I now have the recipe that any paint shop should be able to reproduce in the future as necessary.

My car is #91, and the plate that states it was made in South Africa with Attitude also has a place for the paint code: PPG D740//D753//Y3D

Not sure how that translates, but it is black with white stripes.

Thank you for the replies. I will review the other thread and plan to stop by my local finish masters to see what they can come up with. Thanks Again, Mike
