Glass Wind Wings
Will the glass wind wings From Finish Line fit BDR? Anyone tried them?
Finish Line says they wont fit Superformance, not sure why...

You could ask them to lay one on their flatbed scanner. Bottom edge and both hinge points in the scanned area, and email it to you. Printing it at your end will be at 100% and give you a template to measure against yours.
I'm the guessing the SPF hinge point spacing is different.

Backdraft has unique hinge spacing. I would say no.

Just be real careful when mounting the glass windwings. I added them thinking they would be better than getting scratches in the plastic wings. I thought I was not overtightening as recommended.
However on a drive, one of the screws must have been touching the glass straining it and on one bump, the whole thing shattered blowing glass pieces all over the interior. Quickly went back to the plastic ones and polishing as needed with Plexus products.

I happened to be up near Backdraft today and dropped by to see theirs. Turns out Perry had glass wings in stock at the shop, so I picked up a set. But now after reading Steve-O’s comments, I’m wondering if I should have just went with new plexi ones. Anyone have any tips on mounting the glass ones? They are countersunk on one side for the countersunk screws.

So, I installed the glass wings from Backdraft last night. The holes were a little off. The brackets on mine are 7 7/8" appart, and the holes in the glass wings are more like 8". I loosened everything up and got them in. I'm a little worried that there's some undue tension on the holes on the bottom driver's side, so I may go back and widen the mounting bracket holes. I did used plastic washers (made from cutting the tops off cheap drywall anchors) between the glass and all metal. No test drive yet, so I can't say if the transplant was successful. They sure do look nice though! One other note: I have the billet side-view mirrors from Breeze Automotive, so my bracket configuration is different from most but the mounting holes in the glass did line up with them.
Update: Drilled out the mounting bracket wing attachment holes a little, and everything went together much easier. All good after test drive.
