Default Front struts

I think it’s time to work on the front end. Mine is an early model. Has anyone changed them out and what with? Thanks in advance.

The info (part number, shimming, etc...)are on the thread you posted on 1-22-20. Replacement Shocks /Ride Height ?

Were you looking for additional Brands part number cross references?

I personally use JRi double adjustable inserts with digressive pistons custom valved by Ultimate Performance inside of Ultimate Performance strut housings using Hyperco 2.5" dia springs with BDR camberplates.

Was looking for suggestions other than the BMW that came with the car.Getting ready for another long distance ride.
The rear shocks worked out great.

While the lower a arms and spindles, upper spring perch are BMW the strut tubes are BDR but can also be obtained from several aftermarket performance shops like ECS, Turnermotorsports (fitment being BMW E36 or 325i). The shocks called out in the earlier thread are KYB 361005, VW fitment and also sold thru the BDR site Iconicparts.com

Grey 65's suspension is probably the most exotic suspension on a BDR I've seen but he autocrosses.

Default Car

I got my car from a private owner here in NJ. It was originally built in Fl. I just sent you a message.
