New Seats
I was considering having my existing seats recovered and modified to accommodate the Sub strap on my 5 point harnesses, but started thinking about how ill fitting they are width-wise.
Sprung for a set of Ultra-Shield Cobra Buckets in Black. They have the Sub slot provisions already.
Should be 4.5" wider in the hip area than what I have and 2.0" narrower externally than the current seat. (Alum frame is thinner than the factory fiberglass bucket).
Should be 3 weeks for arrival. Free shipping at least.

New track adjuster coming from Finish Line.

I have often thought about getting better seats, especially during/after a long time in my car. But I have not done so because it may be that attaching new seats may be more painful than what I experience with the original seats. Actually, I did insert more cushion material to the seat and lumbar areas and achieved some improvement.

I ordered a couple sections of Confor medium foam for the seating area.

The foam cover on Ultra-shield seats look thin in the photos.

They look great! Please let us know how they feel after a long drive. Also, how tall are you?

Went out for an hour today. They feel great. I haven't add the 1/2" (Confor Firm Green) foam the the seat area, or the 1" (Confor Med Blue) foam to the back yet. They really don't need it as the cover has has plenty of cushion. I'm 68" short btw, Legs are still long enough to reach the ground though (Stealing a line from Abe).
I added a 3/4" lift to the front when I installed them. I think I'll increase that another 3/4". The back feels a bit vertical still.

I should add the the sides of the standard seats I ordered are pretty close to the seat belt floor eye bolt rings .50-.75" clearance.
Like this
I'll probably be switching to straight floor mounting bolts and Drilled belt ends VS the Quick-release ends at some point though.
Another option is you may order the 16" wide seats vs the standard 17".

They’re great. No issues with the seats. I still haven’t changed the belt mounts to the floors though. The seat sliders I used are not the greatest and require exiting the car to reach the levers. Once I change the floor belt mounting to bolts vs the current eye bolts I want to tweak the seat orientation to a less angled position. Both are twisted pointing out in the front a tad.

Thanks for the reply, looks like end of December or first of January can't wait tell the come in. these should set me lower in car than the cheap factory 5 seats which i put in my backdraft cause of the price, now i know why.
