Default Saturday the 20th

Hey All,

The weather is supposed to be great this weekend. Would be a good time to take a drive over to the coast for lunch with the wives. Maybe like Phil's Seafood or other???

Scott,
If you were thinking Sunday I might be in for that drive. Marv has been itching for a drive in the car and she really likes Phil's.
I did just check the weather and it looks like it might be a bit cool on the coast (58deg Sat & 61deg Sun)

Hey Mike,

We are going on Saturday. If we drive the good road (back way), its about 1hr 10 minutes from south SJ. I know Phils gets crowded fairly early, so think we would want to be there no later then 11:30. We could meet at the Starbucks on Benal off 101 around 10:00.

Here's what I am thinking. We leave Starbucks (Starbucks, Bernal Road, San Jose, CA) at 10:15am. There is a Shell gas station on the corner of Bernal and San Ignacio.
Head through the hills over to Phils. Highway 1 is always backed up once you head south from Watsonville. So I am planning to go around the back of the power plant through the wildlife area into Moss Landing. We can then have lunch at Phils. If anyone is game and not in a big hurry, we can head over to Carmel or Monterey, or back North to Capitola. If we head North, we can drive back over Old San Jose Highway.

BTW, I have never been on the back road out of Watsonville. It should be a good road just looking at google earth. If we find it to be crappy, we can always cut off onto Salinas rd.
