Default Almost End of Winter Run - this Sunday 2/23/14

A buddy of mine has a Grand Opening for a burger and beer restaurant in Gilroy this Sunday. Since the weather is forecast to be very nice, I thought you might like to join in with the festivities. The Grand Opening is from 11 AM - 3 PM with the first 100 folks in line receiving free burgers for one year (a deal for those of you in SJ, Gilroy, Morgan Hill area). They have a ton of beers available at two bucks each and their menu is quite deep. Here is their website - Roadhouse Jack's - Burgers + Beers. They are at 6945 Camino Arroyo. This is on 152 East, the next exit south of Leavesley. This is the old Arby's location on 152 East and not actually located within the Target center as GPS would guide you. They will have a lot of activities in conjunction with the Opening.

If I can provide an approximate headcount, they will mark off a parking area in their lot for us.

Please respond to this thread (or send me a PM) if you think you might attend so I can give them a head count - mainly for parking. Anyone passing through the San Mateo area, we plan to leave around 10:15 - 10:30 - let me know if you want to caravan.

I agree that this is a long way for a burger and beer but it should be a great day for a drive.

Their flyer:

Hope you can make it.

Tom

Yes, that would be our route. I can call or text you when we are actually on the road to give you an ETA if you pm your telephone number to me. I only have your work number. Tom

Tom,

Danette and I plan to attend. If you leave San Mateo at 10:30, you should pass us around 11 give or take.
We haven't had the car out in a while!!!!!

Default Burgers & Beer

I am going to try to make this one. I have been out of things for a long time (see thread...Back in the Saddle Again). Just got my Cobra back in operation this week.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Mike

Guys - I am aiming for Gilroy arrival at 11:15. This means getting on CA 85 from I-280 at about 10:45. If you are able to join the caravan, please judge your timing accordingly; otherwise we hope to see you there. Regardless, I am pleased that all of you and the others from whom I received an e-mail (4± cars) are available on such short notice.

Fun dayTom thanks for putting this together and a free lunch/beer as well that was icing on the cake. Good luck to your friend and his new burger venture.

Take care,

Tom,

Thanks for the great burgers and company Sunday. It was a pleasure to meet all the Cobra guys and gals and we'll be looking forward to future club getaways.
Best of luck to Mike on his new engine and hope it's a great season for everyone.

Glenn and Matty

I live in Gilroy and didn't know about this, bummer.
But that would explain all the Cobra's I saw Sunday.
