Default Help Confirm ID of Bay Area Cobra Guy

BA Cobra Club: I am a COCOA member, SoCal. Lynn Park, Gordon Gimbel, and Drew S. Can confirm my ID. I rarely engage these forums, but I contacted the AC Owners Club Forum to ID an AC Bristol photo I saw on EBay. In addition to achieving my objective, one of the thread respondents claimed he had connections in the BA for Cobra parts. I had stated that I'm always on the hunt for NOS or good used worm and Sector car parts. This individual ID'd himself as Bert Brown of Danville, CA. Do any of you know this fellow? I ask because I was contacted by a scammer on the Forum several years ago, which prompted me to quit accessing it. The scammer said they had tie rod dust covers for $950.
Your assistance in confirming the ID of Bert Brown is most appreciated!
Thanks in advance! Bob Beede

Bob,

I don't know him as I am in Northern California but a bunch of the BACC used to come up here and one good person to contact would be Tony Repepi. Also Dave dodge used to live in Danville but I haven't heard from him for a long time. Good luck with your hunt and all of that group that I have met have been good people.

I can try emailing Ron Leonard to see if he knows him.

Hi Robert,

I know Bert and if he says that he has something he can be trusted. If you would like to call to discuss I believe you still have my number. John Bessey

Used to have contact with Mark Hefte from Bay Area through Paul Bennett. Paul is gone now so I lost contact with Mark but he has, had loads of ford parts, been around cobras from the beginning and last I knew he still had gt 40. He would work with someone needing parts to restore or fix original cars.

Default Bert's Legit!

Dear BA Cobra Guys: Thanks to everyone taking time to reply to my inquiry about a fellow named Bert Brown. I have never had the pleasure of meeting Bert, nor had I ever heard his name referenced in the myopic circle I travel in. So, when he graciously offered to direct me to original parts for my worm and Sector Cobra, I wasn't sure how to respond, since these parts are in the hands of a few. Anyway, John Bessey, from SoCal replied to this thread and confirmed Bert as one of us. Thank you, John, and my apologies to Bert for questioning his authenticity. As I mentioned in my original thread, I don't frequent these forums often, because I had a fellow try to scam me several years ago over some Original Lockheed, Made in England, Rubber boots for the tie rods associated with the worm and Sector steering. So, I just wanted someone to confirm Bert was a good guy. There was NO malice intended, and I ask Bert's forgiveness if I offended his person!
Best, Bob Beede

Hey Robert, are the tie rod boots you’re after the ones with a double bellows?
I guess that’s the best way to describe them.
