what is the best shifter and shifter arm to install in the t5 for allowing different arms for driving position?

As acquired, my CRI came with the stock T5 shifted handle for the 90 Mustang, with its dog leg bend coming rearwards. It was too far back to be comfortable.

When I reinstalled my powertrain, I had one of the "short shift" units on the t5. It sticks up way too far thru the hump cover, about 3inches.

So, I switched back to the stock shifter plate. I then tried using the Hurst short straight shift handle for the T5. It is about 6" long. It is a flat plate chrome type of handle. It was, IMHO, a bit too tall and I did not like the look.

So, I ordered a 289 style shifter and boot/trim ring. It is shorter than the Hurst and is straight up. I also got a black ball with the 5 sp diagram on its top. I will run with this config, it is a good height, right position and I think looks more period correct.
