I guess it's about time
I guess it's about time that I introduce myself I've been watching the form for quite a few years and finally decided to join.
I would have Join quite a while ago but I would see the way some people were treated. When they would ask a question or say something that someone else
would not agree with but that does not seem the way it is now.
So here's a brief history of my involvement with cobras.
Opened up a shop in Phoenix in 1981 sold it in 92 or 93 move to Vegas Late 94when I was hired by Shelby and started building cobras at Indian Springs.
Did one or two continuation CSX 3xxx cars (can't remember if it was one or two)Then moved onto the tooling and development for the 4000,7000 and 8000 and early development work on the series one. And I forgot what else.
Restore a couple original CSX's. started making parts for the Shelby Mustang.
I retired 3 or 4 years ago not sure but who cares I'm retired
Tom
P.S. i'm talking to my iPad so if something doesn't make sense it's not me it's the iPad

Welcome, Tjd!
I'm sure you'll get plenty of questions.
What was the "building Cobras at Indian Springs"?
Thanks!

Welcome Tom! Great to have you on board! I'm sure you have many stories. And I'm sure that sooner or later I will have a question or two, as will others.

Yes, it will be nice to hear some of the stories and real information from somebody who was there.

Hi Tom,
I am happy to read you here. I am French and has a Hi-Tech Motorsports HTM65C0102 and I have so many questions about making your cars and their stories. Do you have all the technical documentation for the manufacture of chāssis (front hub ....) I'm interested in all documents and sales brochures of This time.
PS: sorry for the Google translation.

Good evening Joul28
Good looking car hope you're enjoying it I have no literature or any information on hi-tech when I sold it and went to work for Shelby. I left everything there with the new owner.
But if I can help you in anyway I would be glad to. I do not know what spindles the new owner used on the cars after I left so if you could explain your problem and send pictures I will try my best to help you

Hey Joul, what about the front hub is it you're wanting to know?
I think something is changing a little in translation. I might be able to help with some answers though.
