Hello everyone!
Hey there, my name is Paul. I've been smitten by the Cobra ever since I first saw one with my dad when I was 6. Unfortunately I don't have my own Cobra yet, but I have something sort of close - a 2000 BMW Z3 ///M Roadster. I plan to not only build my own Cobra(s) in the future, but also design my own modern roadster that captures the essence of cars like the Cobra and the ///M Roadster, while also having its own identity. Until I finish engineering school, it'll probably only live as loose ideas and CAD models, but I'll get there
Basically, for now, I'm just here to be a part of the community and learn from all of you who've already blazed the trails and done the hard work. Thank you and I look forward to mingling! ![3d smile](http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/images/smilies/icon10.gif)

Welcome Paul,
Glad to see the next generation taking up the the torch per se. Lots of great information I've gleaned on this site. I'm sure you also have some things to contribute as well and possibly pull some from the Tube/Transistor era into the 21st century. New ideas are always welcome.
BTW what field of engineering? I ask since your close to Wichita and we have constant intern position openings in several disciplines.

Welcome to the group. If I recall correctly there was a company that was producing a Cobra that was located in your town of Sand Springs, OKlahoma. The company was R U Car Crafters and the guy that owned was Roger Upton. I looked at his product when I was in the market for a car. He was a really small operation but I liked the chassis design and what he had put together. I have only seen one of his cars that was completed and it was very well done. I don't know if he is still doing anything in the Cobra market but he is in the same town as you so you may want to locate him. Based on your post I'm sure that he could provide you with some good input.

Mechanical. I figured that was the best choice for pursuing my goals, plus this way I can go to the Tulsa campus, stick with my current job for now, and not have to move to Stillwater (or Stoolwater as we sometimes call it ![laughing](http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/images/smilies/laughing.gif) ).
Wichita - Boeing?

Thanks for this! I may poke around and see if he could use any help, even on a volunteer basis.
