Cardiac Cobra new build, looking for build info
Hello from Hillsboro Oregon. New to the forum, glad to have found a resource to start this project off. My Dad and I are building a Cardiac Cobra 1966 replica, We have a 1967 289 from my first car (Galaxie 500) we plan to build for it. Looking for contacts and resources for parts referencing as it didn’t come with a manual and there seem to be very fee Cardiacs around.
Has anyone here built one. It would be really helpful to see some finished Cardiacs Cobras in detail as they have full box frames and are setup different than the major kits. The previous owner installed a Jag 3.56 IRS and the front has Corvette brakes but thats all thats been done thus far.

Cardiac built some nice looking Cobras. Not very many out there and a lot of them were built from very basic body/frame kits. A while back someone tried to start a Cardiac owner's section here on Club Cobra but it didn't gain much traction. There were a few pictures - I'll see if I can find the link.
Here it is - maybe start by trying to contact the original poster.

Thanks Buzz for the link. I joined the Cardiac group and will reach out to a few of those folks. We started test fitting a 302 core into the frame to start figuring out header placement / steering linkage. So fun seeing it start to come together.

The build is coming along really well about 95% complete.

Along the way we have learned a lot about the ins and outs of the Cardiac Cobra. What an awesome experience. Please shoot me a Instant message on Instagram if you had any questions. Glad to help others trying to build a similar car.

Beautiful! Congratulations on getting it done! Judging by the fitment of the hood, fit and finish looks impressive. Are you planning to drill the holes for the bumpers/quick jacks and outside mirror? You're a brave man to do that after such a nice paint job! It would be interesting to hear any stories/issues from the build process - and of course - feel free to share some more pics.

Looks great. Hoping to see it on the road. Being in the PNW that is a strong possibility.

We have had the car on the road now and are pretty much finished with the exception of the carpet and trunk liner installation. We will try and send additional pictures.
