Default New Cobra owner, SF Bay Area East Bay, about to start building my Hurricane kit

As the title says, I'm about to start building my dream, a cobra kit that I've been waiting to do for the last 25 years.

I'm a 47yo Bay area native, Psychologist in practice, long history of building cars and motorcycles and boats and jet skis since high school.

Decided on the Hurricane Motorsports kit, and it is literally being picked up from Hurricane tomorrow, to be delivered next week. In a late twist, the company seems to be going under for the second time, but just in time to have my kit fully produced and delivered.

In my garage I have a built and dyno'd 408W, sniper EFI, full roller, 458hp/538tq with 3 year warranty

TKX tranny, Summit steel bellhousing, RAM billet steel flywheel and clutch, Trigo 427 wheels.

I'm hoping to get the kit built by the end of 2022, assuming 200-300 hours, minus paint. Looking forward to getting to know cobra enthusiasts and locals alike.

Nice! Keep us posted with your progress. Building a Cobra was an incredibly rewarding and memorable experience for me.

Enjoy! The East Bay area has some great roads. Lived in both Monterey and San Ramon for a time. Climbing up Mt Diablo was a hoot. Tons of canyon roads in the area.
