Default Who’s a mod/admin?

Hi,

Could someone direct me towards or have a mod/admin message me please?
I have a question that I can’t find the answer for as I’m having some issues with the site.

Many thanks,
Chris

Chris,

First, have you read the following thread: Newbies---read this!!!

While not either here, I do globally moderate a sister site for the owner. What question(s) do you have with issues you may be having? They could be user specific (IE: low post count related), or something globally wrong with the site, which we as a group, can generally offer some type of work around.

Without posting specifics here, you may never know.

Hi Bill,

I did have a read of that, unfortunately but it didn’t help my question.
I am trying to find out what the minimum post count is that’s required for being able to PM someone? As mine seem to send but then there’s nothing in my sent items so I’m assuming they aren’t. . .

Chris

At the bottom of your screen, when you are sending a PM, you need to check off the box for copying yourself.

My advice, don't have any links or pictures in your sig, or anywhere in your PM's. Less, is more when you have a low post count.

In addition, if you are sending a PM based on an old post in the general or classified areas, they may not go answered if the person is deceased, or no longer actively a member here, just saying.

Happy to assist.

Bill S.

PS: I do suggest you put a city and state in your profile, as there may be local help nearby, but will never know about due to this.

I’m actually in the Uk, (boo, hiss I know), so imagine that knocks out the majority of this forum but I’ll update my info.
Currently in the process of collecting whatever parts suit for my build in the US so can ship them across with my engine, box and wheels etc
