Default Victress For Sale (pictures)

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to get the word out about this car I'm about to drag home. I think it deserves to go home with someone who knows what it is. I found this site because reference was made to it in a thread here. Please see the web page I threw together.

I think the VICTRESS was a body offered by LaDwari (I think that's how it's spelled) in the 50's and 60's. Up untill a few years ago I still had their brochure. They made glass bodies for MG's, TR's, Healys and other cars of the day like the Henry J.

You know, I've tried to visit that link, but it isn't working on my computer tonight. I'll try again later.

Being a kit car, I believe it could have had just about anything under the hood. But the quote below is from a website that seems knowledgable.

"The S-1 had a wheelbase of 99", using a shortened early Ford frame. 'me running gear consisted of a new Studebaker V-8 engine with Edmonds two carburetor aluminum manifold. 3/4 race cam, domed pistons and dual exhaust. Couple that with a body that weighs next to nothinT and a quick shift standard gear box an look out!"

Read this fascinating article about the fastest one ever put together (with reference to shelby):

FALCON, your link won't work. By just mousing over it...............the only thing comes up is HTTP:// and thats it.

I guess you could copy the link then paste, that will probably work.
