Stellings and Hellings Foam Air Filter
Anyone can help getting a replacement foam air filter for the S&H assembly, I checked K&N and the filter that would fit KNN E-9181 is no longer being made.

Did you Google it? Summit appears to have it and it tells what vehicles it fits, so you could crossover to a paper filter.
Good luck

I made mine for the small dual quad Carters. Used air filter foam UNI.

You are correct the E-9181 is no longer available. But it may look odd being only 8" OD anyways.
From the forums. Most folks are using K&N E-1025 (8.25 X 2.5") or E-2570 (8.188 X 1.88") or E-2600 (8.188 X 2.18")

Stay away from K&N, they let in tons more dirt into your engine, well known fact, besides they look worse than turd sh-t

The k&n type filter better than foam. But nothing beats paper (price or filtration).

I bought a pair of foam filters from Tony Branda in Altoona Pa a few years ago.

These little tiny KNN E-9181filters are made for cars with 1.1 liter engines
I am pretty sure your car will greatly benefit from a larger air cleaner. Just a thought.

Can't argue with the looks statement. I do recall seeing data on airflow and filtering efficiency comparing foam to paper to K&N (and maybe others?) showing K&N with better filtering and flow than foam, and better flow than paper (can't remember if the K&N also filtered better than the paper). Regardless it was enough to convince me to replace pleated paper filters on my modern cars. Never felt a difference, though, so who knows.

..dirty, inefficient things
and the K+N' s cost a s#$% load more! I can't believe how much they get for those dirty, inefficient things. I'm glad I went with dry paper from the beginning on my Super.

I saw a test on eight air filter years ago. Of the eight test they did on the eight different brands of filters, K&N came in 7th or 8th in every category
But they have the best ad agency

Just my opinion but beyond what filters best, what flows best, so on, nothing beats the looks of original style foam!

Just lightly oil the green foam.
If your car needs KN seems like crazy way to make an extra hp.
Doesn’t take much to get these little cars going

If you have enough clearance under the hood, and want a taller element, try K&N NO-0100. It is one inch taller, 2 7/8" tall, while the one that came on my car is 1 7/8". 8" +/- diameter.
