Tom,
There was 562 when I gave them to my buddy Dave Hackney. I would like to get Kay's original pictures & permission to use them to put on a DVD. I need you and Kay to rename as many people first & last name in those pictures. Anyone that makes a picture contribution will get the final DVD mailed to them for free. I want to have Dave put together a DVD for all DSCC members to purchase to see what they missed.

Default Pathfinder Motorsports

At the gathering of the 10th annual Reptile Round Up at the Gainesville race track I met Alan Peterson of Pathfinder Motorsports. His Superformance continuation racecars out of South Africa make the roller models which are built exclusively for Pathfinder Motorsports, with turnkey finalization by Holman Moody. The car Alan brought was a GT40 with BP racing colors of green/yellow. This particular roller model had been shipped to Holman Moody from South Africa for the install of a 302ci 500hp HM engine & ZF transmission. All rollers delivered to Holman Moody include a numbered Holman Moody build plate and a personal tour at delivery, at the Holman Moody shop conducted by the owner Lee Holman. This particular GT40 had right hand drive which actually increased the price by $2,000 as it had been already sold to a new owner in France. The featured vintage Superformance continuation racecar models offered by Alan are the GT40 MKI, MKII, and R, the Cobra MKII FIA/USRRC, the Cobra MKII Slab Side, and the Cobra MKIII 427. They also handle vintage Shelby Mustangs.

CobraDan,
That last pic is hilarious. Looks like the coupe driver (as sweet as the car may be) isn't happy about being parked to such a showstopper of a GT40.

digginfool,
I expect you to come next year so you will be in charge of video, as carrying around my Cannon all day is enough.
rodneym,
Alan sold that Superformance coupe and brought the new owner with him to the RR.

I was going to go this year but too many things going on around the house (remodeling master suite and mother in town for the holiday). In fact, my wife was urging me to go with John (red BDR #74) but didn't feel right leaving under the circumstances. :'( It looks like I missed out on a good time. Maybe next year.

The Reptile Roundup was great fun and very well organized. Thank you South Florida Cobra Club and all those who helped pull everything together including the guys a Back Draft. Three of us came to the Roundup, one being Ken from Melbourne the driver of the silver Daytona Coupe parked next to me (but hopefully not angry), and Larry and Barbara Harper down from Georgia, who own the black 427FE powered SPF MKIII. Ken Collett has a very nice collection of hot rods including a ground shaking SPF Cobra with a 720hp Bill Parham built all aluminum 427FE Side Oiler that he brought to last years roundup. Bill and Susan Parham, along with the staff at Southern Automotive, have built some powerful Ford motors over the years. Having both Lee Holman and Bill Parham building our engines, make for some mild to wild rides for every budget. Thanks again for another great car crazy weekend all, and Dan for the wonderful pictures (including the Turkey Rod Run). We look forward to next year.

Alan Peterson,
Thanks for posting Ken Collett’s full name as I’m trying to put names with the pictures I took for a future DVD. My buddy Jim Milliken had breakfast with Ken and told me all about his collection of cars but he had no idea what the mans name was.
