Default New tires on 17" Knockoff's in Tampa, FL

Hi All-

I own a BDR with 17" Knockoffs that need new tires (tires are expiring). I am trying to locate a shop in the Tampa, FL area that will be able to mount/balance on these types of wheels.

Welcome advice and suggestions--- thanks in advance!

Todd

Basically any place that sells tires... All wheels are mounted to a tire machine the same way (using the center hole)... Use same criteria picking a tire shop as you would use if you were bringing in a 2018 Vette....

Agree with Kevin, any respectable shop should be able to mount the new tires. The tricky part for some shops is the removal and installation as they don’t have anyone expericenced with knockoffs. The shop I use didn’t have a problem doing it and actually let me remove and install the wheels once the tires were swapped, but in the words of Jay at Vintage, make sure they get the pins lined up before tightening or it’s going to be a bad day!

The car goes on jack stands. I remove them and deliver them to the shop. I would NEVER trust a shop to remove my knock-offs.

My original post was under the assumption that you were just bringing them loose wheels. I 2nd that you do not trust a shop to remove or more importantly install the wheels on the car.
