ERA 289 FIA Spare Wheel...and Tire Recommendations
Ok, another questions from me.
I called PS Engineering today to buy a single wheel for my spare, and it was a no go...they said they stopped making the FIA wheel.
I saw a FIA car for sale a few months ago, and it had a PS wheel in the trunk with a 195/60-15 mounted on it, and it looked like it fit perfectly in the trunk well.
Any advice on a spare option?
Is Trigo a viable option? I am not sure how close they are to the PS wheels. I guess it does not matter if it differes slightly since it will be in the trunk

Lippy's ERA has FIA wheels - Trigos I believe (?). You might look at his build thread for a few pictures of them.

My FIA currently has BFG T/A tires that need replacing. I put Avons on my Street 427 (677).
What do you all recommend for looks and drivability? Investing in Avons? Period correct looking Dunlops? Something else??? Thanks

I'm well pleased with my M/T SRs. They feel good on wet pavement, wear well, good traction, and I think they look good.
I was recommending Vintage wheel because I thought Bob would be able to come up with a wheel narrow enough to fit in the trunk well, even thought it would not look exactly like the other wheels. Hopefully, it would never need to be used.

I have a full size spare in my trunk. (Front)
Used to have a Trigo FIA in trunk with G6 mounted
Now its Sunburst with G6
John Bessey has a couple front Kidney Bean wheels ? 760-213-3292
KB's are cool.

I didn't realize Vintage now had a 15 inch FIA wheel. Second the endorsement for Vintage and Bob.

When P.E. Engineering was still in business they cut down/sectioned some
427 fronts to ~5.5" to use as spares. I have one for my ERA FIA and with
a small tire it fits. I think Vintage now owns PE so give them a ring and see
what they say. You could buy a new FIA front for $400 and have it cut down
for a fee...maybe ~$200...and mount a smaller tire...~$100 and you would
have an FIA spare. I think the Trigos are the same as PE but check with ERA.
