It be gone. But, I'll summarize it below:
OP: I want to change my ring/pinion in my Jag rear. How hard is it?
Smart People: Don't do it all yourself, just pull the center and ship it off to a Jag rear pro to change the ratio to what you want.
WiseAss People: I've done a thousand of these switch outs, it's easy. You're just a puss.
... and so it goes.

LOL
I will say this though... If you don't have a case spreader, do not know what the heck that is or don't know how to use one this is not the diff for you! Besides, by the time you buy all the GOOD tooling you might as well just drop it off...

Some threads got lost during the repair and work to get the site back up.

He sent me a quick note, and I think he's going to give Coventry West a call to see what they would want for a ring/pinion change out if he ships them the center section. I had sent him this link: Rebuilt Jaguar parts overview | Coventry West

Patrick,
I completely agree about having the gear work done by someone that knows how and has the tools to set them up correctly. I did one once and it took me a week taking it apart and putting different spacers in before I got it right. My next one I sent to a rear end shop and they had it back in a day and I never had a problem.
