Default 838 Corner Balance

I weighed and corner balanced 838 a few days ago. Turned out great.

I did it with the tools and top in the trunk, like it is driven most of the time.

For those that think the 427 cars are nose heavy - you are wrong. The car is heavier in the rear.

John

Even more rear bias than the 427 cars. I didn’t expect that.

Now you take your tire temps when you come off the track and they will tell you what adjustments to make to the suspension.....

John, do you have an aluminum block or an iron block? I was guessing at the weight of my all iron FE (except intake) #782 as 2800 lbs but I’m probably a little over 2900, maybe close to 3000 from what’s being posted here.

These measurements seem to indicate that it would be better to have the battery mounted in the front on the right side of the engine compartment like the street cars had.

I’m probably around 2900 total then. Sort of hard to believe the little thing is about as heavy as a V-8 65 - 66 Mustang.
