Fuel lines hitting turkey pan
I just installed my braided lines on my carb with the turkey pan. It fits with the turkey pan but rubs the bottom of the turkey pan. I can't find any fuel line extensions... rubber hammer?

I don't see it as becoming a problem. If it bothers you I'd get a bondo spreader or windshield ice scraper and tap it it between the fittings and the turkey pan. That should give you the clearances you desire.

Al,
A bulkhead fitting such as this one is about 11/16" longer on one end, than your current 90 degree fittings.
A pair of these cobbled with the appropriate adapters may solve your issue. It would help if we could see your entire plumbing, from carb inlet to the incoming line.....without the turkey pan in the way.

FWIW , several companies , including Holley , make longer fuel connectors that add as much as 2 " extra length . I got mine from CV Products in NC ( big supplier of hard core racing parts ) ..... they also had filters in them and an external hex about half way down . Not as cheap as the Summit or Jegs units , but many steps up in function and looks . What a lot of the NASCAR boys use .

Thanks Bobcat.. I think that is what I am looking for.. A longer extension, but I could not find them at the normal places like summit or jegs.
That fuel log I am using ain't cheap. Like the story of my life.. I need about another inch.

Al ... finally dug the part number up .... Peterson Fluid Systems 09-0711 inlet filter . Measured mine and they are just under 3 1/2" from where they seat in the carb to the end of the connection/swivel nut . Mine also have the filter in them .... about $40/unit several years ago at CV Products . I have a clearance problem with the hex nuts and my drop base air filter base , so I had to use ones without the hex .
BTW , is where you are close to Wilkes County ? I`ve got a vacation place up there that I go to fairly regularly .
