Best engine builder in North Alabama or closer
leaning toward a FE 427, ground up build with Pond Aluminum block. Curious if anyone recommends an engine builder familiar with Fords near Huntsville, AL
Also, what are everyone's thoughts about a crate motor, from Roush, Shelby or Ford Racing and have a local install done. I'm nervous about having multiple people involved, incase there were to be an issue... too easy to blame the installer or the builder and I'm stuck with the problem engine
Thanks in advance guys!

I'd contact Brent (blykins on this forum) at Lykins Motorsports, LLC. Can't go wrong.

Probably the most respected FE builder close to you is Blair Patrick in South Pittsburgh, TN. He is a few miles from I-59, just inside TN. He did my motor and is well known in the drag strip crowd. Search his name on the FE forum. Don't expect him to be cheap, and don't expect to get the motor back in a hurry. Good luck, Bill.

Jon Kaase builds some crazy stuff. North of Atlanta
Ernie Elliot Dawsonville GA.
Kaase quoted me 28k for a 600hp Aluminum Pond build. Not cheap, but they are a big enough outfit to stand behind their work if something were to go wrong and they are close.
FYI, I hear Roush waranty is nearly worthless.
I believe Blykins is done with Aluminum builds.
I hear ya on the builder/installer finger pointing game. Good questions to ask each and make sure they are both comfortable with each other?

Eddie lives in Florence
I don't think he can build a aluminum block because of the amount of machine work required. But if you had the prepared block he could assemble it.
I would suggest Keith Craft for a Pond's block.
