Default 427 side oiler

Hey all, I’ve got a 87 Campbell Classic 20 v-drive boat with a 427 side oiler in it. It’s a cool package but obviously the motor is the icing on the cake. Recently I had it gone through top to bottom, machined, new cam, pistons, valves, etc due to issues from previous owner and shop that thought they knew this motor. All proper and has about 5 hours of run time in the boat since rebuild. I’ve listed the boat for sale but for the right price I’ll pull the motor back out and sell separate. Made 410HP on the engine dyno at JD machining in lake havasu city, in about 95degree air temps. Just seeking interest from you car guys who might find this desirable. Cheers.

And what's your asking price to do that?

Does this motor turn the same direction as a car engine or is it the opposite? They made both.

Many 427 boat engines are cast as a side oiler, but they were not drilled and are center oiler plumbing wise. Do you know which configuration the oil is plumbed up in this engine?

Hydraulic or solid lifters?

Same direction as a car, it’s a true side oiler, hydraulic.

And in most boats there would be one of each, side by side.

It would probably be important to know what heads are on the engine.

Here’s a pic from when it was all torn down. Let me try and get info, but I recall being told they were original when I considered parting it out.
