Default Help with type of distributor

I am planning to run a 302 engine in my cobra with carburetor. Would anyone know a type and/or part number of a distributor I could use? Either HEI or with a detached coil. For now looking to buy one on a budget and easy to wire up with one or two wires. P.s I'm not running any type of crank shaft sensor or computer etc... thanks

Simplicity at it's best. I actually bought one of these from these guys then couldn't use it because I didn't have the room for that huge cap. The piece did feel like quality though and if I could have used it would've simplified things for me. The return process was also quite easy.

I think a 85 Mustang distributor will work. Check ebay

I just used the Pertronix "stock look" cast distributor on my 289 Cobra and am very happy with it. Looks original and work great. Two wire hook up, built in rev limiter and multiple sparks at all RPMs (MSD units only multi fire to 3500 RPM or so). A little over $300 at Summit and had it the next day. We had been chasing an ignition issue with an original Ford dual point so very happy to drop this in and drive!

I used a Petronix Flame Thrower in my MGB race car and it works fine; know a few people who use them. Pretty reliable and easy to install.

We put one in my #2 sons '73 MGB and it works great. Car ran like dog poop before with bucking, stumbling and general crappy power. The Pertronix solved it all.
