Where Are They Constructed?
I came across these statements in another thread. I'm definitely behind the times because I was unaware of them.
Polish - Much high quality with slight asymmetry. No longer making KMS cars
KMS - Stamped panels tied together in USA. Very durable and symmetrical.
How and where are the Kirkham cars built now?
Thanks,
David

The statements are about as wrong as you can get in that amount of words.
Roadsters are made from stretch pressed panels in Poland. Along with the chassis/frames and some other parts.
The Coupe is manufactured in Utah. I believe using the same stretch process mainly.

Why not just pick up the phone and call the Kirkhams in Utah?
They are great folks and can answer any questions you might have.

Actually it is even easier than making a call. Go look at the Kirkham Motorsports page on facebook. They have pictures of both the shop in Utah and the shop in Poland.

I still own the factory in Poland. We still make frames and bodies for the roadsters there. We make the Coupes exclusively in Utah. We use the same methods in both places. Stretch press, hand forming, panel beating, etc.

Here's a dumb question. Why not make the bodies in the US?

Not a dumb question. We have the most talented guys in the world in Poland. I ordered a hard top in a huge rush for a last minute change order before the container left. They made it in 4 days and got it loaded by staying very late. Oh, they also made 2 repair panels. I ordered them on Tuesday and they arrived in Provo on Monday, 6 days later.
Every time I see their welds I am amazed.

There's no substitute for qualified people. I was just wondering with all the shipping for an additional lag time, was it worth it. Thanks for the simple answer.
