They look nice. I remember seeing my first XKE in person in 1965 when I was 16. Guy lived in an apartment three down, went by all the time to just look at it.

Sounds like they put a Honda fart can on the new one here.

The E-Type Jaguar and the 427 Cobra, the most beautiful cars ever designed.

The article says "Jaguar probably got the idea about finishing unused serial numbers from Carroll Shelby"

The First car I got from parents was a 1962 Jaguar MKII I loved it . The MKII's where uni body and it had rusted through and in the late 70's early 80's they were not really considered worth restoring. But I saved the motor and trans and when I first contacted Contemporary Classic about my Cobra replica I wanted to put that fabulous Jaguar inline six in it.

How are unfinished chassis number listed or defined? Maybe we see plenty of ZL1 Corvettes and Camaros soon? Or the missing 17.824 AMC Pacers? ;-)
TN Shelby Cobra likes this.

That being said...never count out good basic California hotrodding. XKs Unlimited is one of the better shops on the West Coast...several friends have had restorations done by them.

I've watched this car in the flesh at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow...the sound is even better in person.

Now that one sounds like I would expect and want an XKE to sound.
