Remember, Cars & Coffee is not at the Palladio but starting at 7:30am at GT Auto Lounge off Folsom Blvd. & Mercantile Dr. Should be a sunny day for a drive. Anyone have a breakfast/lunch/driving route idea?

We’re in - see you at 7:30. We could try something out toward Auburn or up to Davis, but we don’t know of any special places to eat in either town. The Waffle Experience has some interesting food, but it’s located near Mel’s, so not much of a drive.

Off topic question from a Florida guy. What is the trip up 101 to Seattle like? Have you ever taken it?

Do you mean Hy 1? 101 dose become the coast road after the Calif border, it's a more inland route thru the state. Once in Oregon you are on the coast two lane. If there is any problem with that drive, it's logging trucks, and motorhomes.

Mark.

Yes, starting from San Diego up to Oregon/Seattle on two different trips. On motorcycles it was two days of solid wet rain during the best months of the year for weather so bring a heated rain suit for motorcycles or soft/hard top if you are in a Cobra. Forecast can change quickly once you get up into Oregon to Wash.

Back on topic............ there is a place in Plymouth that we stopped at once. It's called Marlene & Glen's Diner https://www.yelp.com/biz/marlene-and...sq=Restaurants Bill, if you are referring to the City of Davis, I would highly recommend you NOT go that direction on a Saturday.

Default 3rd Saturday April 21

The GT Auto Lounge is located at 2421 Mercantile in Rancho Cordova. Turn onto Mercantile off of Folsom Blvd and then take the first driveway to the left (after crossing light rail tracks) and go to very back

Had lunch in there in Plymouth before. Nice place.

I understand you have to pick some where to drive to but what would the Davis destination be? Also, do you want to just run up the freeway or get onto the back farm roads?

Really looking for something with a little distance to it. Plymouth, Jackson, or Murphys all have the distance, and Highway 49 as well, which is an outstanding drive. Coming back from Ione Murray took some of the curves so fast that I think he straightened some of them out.

Plymouth sounds great, Marlene & Glen's is good idea. Thanks Phil.

Think moving C&C to GT Auto Lounge is a one time thing.

Any estimated time of departure from C&C for Plymouth? Would not want to be late.

See ya'll Saturday
Patrick

just called Marlene & Glen's - they said someone from a car club made 10am reservations for 8-10 folks. if that was one of us, that sounds like a good plan. we could leave GT Lounge around 9:15, straighten out some curves, arrive at Plymouth for brunch and pick a drive from there.

Wish I could, but I'm going to be MIA. At least I'm not working.
