Cobra
15 years ago I got to bring my Cobra home. Since that time I have gone through 5 engines, 2 transmissions, 2 whindshields, several sets of tires, a few dozens packages of underware. Even after all that I would never think about getting rid of the car, the first born has a better chance of leaving first

My Cobra made me retire, move to warmer climate and buy a house with two garages. Not sure any of my wives have had that much impact on me! Ha ha ha!

My first Cobra..........(as of this past Fall).........has led me to truly enjoy being able to start a performance car, drive it, park it, start it, and so on.
....AND the ability actually 'hear' peoples conversations with me at each intersection.
The smiles keeping coming!!!

12 years ago I finished mine, (finished means tagged and driving). 40,000 miles, many changes to the motor, three trannie, tires, rims, you get the idea.
IF I sold it I would buy another immediately!

On road for 18 years, 38,000 miles, rebuilt motor once, rebuilt tranny once, clutch replacement to better discs, changed from steel flywheel to alum one.
Tires, gas, oil, and the fun remains..

14-years riding the Snake! Only rebuilt the BBTL in year 1, last year upgraded the top end on the 429 Super Cobra Jet so now you can fit two fists (instead of 1) through the BlueT heads and valves. :-)
"There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It is stripped down to the essentials- a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on pavement. Its loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. Its so damn wonderful that you can't believe it"
Thanks to Automobile Magazine 2004 for a good Cobra blurb.

Have only had mine for 3 weeks and about 400 miles on it so far. Everyone while wearing a big grin Cannot wait for this winter storm to pass so that I can get it back out on the road again!

Been away a while doing the boat thing.
Hey Fred,
Brought mine home in 2000, 37000 miles later it's still got it. Of all the things I have replaced, my right knee is the one I like best! When did you move to MT
