Rangoon Red also has some orange in it ... and it will come out in different lighting . I`ve got some pictures in my gallery of my Galaxie that is painted Rangoon Red . In some light conditions , it`s red and in other lighting , there is a definite orange tint to it . I personally love the color . The reason my ERA isn`t that color is because my Galaxie already was .

I too love that orange hue in the sun.

Still torn between Guardsman Blue and Rangoon Red, the red was not a 289 color but it is sooo nice.

My West Coast Cobra is painted Rangoon Red, and it appears red in some light and more orange in other light. I do know the colour or shade picked up by cameras tends to be different than it appears to the naked eye.

FWIW, when I purchased the car I was told it was Rangoon Red, a Mustang colour. Finding out now that Rangoon Red was also an official Cobra colour is kind of cool.

My first car was Rangoon Red - '65 Mustang Convertible. A very nice shade that does change all the time in the light. My favorite was at dusk or sunrise - oh boy!!!

Well, that post worth resurrecting a thread that died in March of 2010

Just having a little fun at your expense
