Default windshield wiper switch for csx3331

As owner of csx3331 I need part number and maker of the w/s wiper switch with porcelain/ceramic back. My switch has failed. What other marque/cars used this switch? Where to find another switch?

Windshield wiper switch is Model PRS7, Lucas part number 31957. Supposed to be the same switch as the one used on late 50's Jaguar XK 150. There are other early Jag switches that have different terminals, but same functionality.

Default W/shield wiper switch for csx3331

Thank you for info. I'll research dealers. Any suggestions which dealers may have in stock. Other sources for switch? Sure appreciate your help! Barry Simmons

Barry... it will be good hunt. That switch is long out of production.

Modern equivs may require the fab of a small adapter harness.

Best to check the Jag parts houses and watch eBay. It is pretty rare.

I think they may also have been fitted to the Rover P6.

They come up on eBay quite regularly.

Be careful when cruising...some have screw terminals...others have the correct push-on's

In a pinch, an adapter harness can be fabricated.

Your car most likely has a Lucas 2 speed DR3 wiper motor and I believe the P/N on the motor is 75311. There are several PRS7 and PRS5 switches that will work with this motor but you need to scour ebay to find them. I have had some luck with ebay UK - in fact I purchased this switch yesterday: Allard Humber Riley Sunbeam Multi Position Rotary Light Switch | eBay

I know it is not the original switch but it will work with the DR3 motor, accepts the same knob and fits through the same panel cutout. I have a Lucas .pdf file which is rather large that lists all of the Lucas switch P/N's that will work with a 2 speed DR3 wiper motor. If you PM me your address, I will print it and mail it out to you or if you can accept a 7MB file and want to PM me your e-mail address, I can send it to you that way also.

Good Luck

Check with Tony at Shelby American. My CSX4000 car had a Lucas switch that I'm pretty sure had blade terminals.

Default W/shield wiper switch for csx3331

I do in fact have wiper motor number 75311F, a DR3 YW19, with the additional number: 073152E, 12V manufactured 2 66
I would prefer to find an original part due to the history of this car, but welcome any suggestions of where to search. Anyone know what the rear piece to the switch is made of? Porcelain? Metal?

The previous original owner in 1980s had the Panel switch in the dash with the Wiper knob on it. I opened the switch (Part No. 78365A 0280) and saw the potentiometer. This switch is not a windshield wiper switch. It is the switch that controls the dash/panel lights. The correct switch has a knob on it with "PANEL' printed on it.
The wrong knobs on the two different switches. I'll see if the correct switch operates the w/s wiper motor. If not then it is a wiring dilemma.

Default Panel light switch or w/s wiper switch for CSX 3331

Couldn't find anything under Jag panel light switch @ Moss. If you saw one there please direct me with a link to that site. It is Lucas part no. 78365A
Thanks

The guy with the part you need has PM'd you and also posted on here. He has a small stash of them. You won't find the right number of terminals on anything modern even with the PRS7 number. lucas 54033632 39156 PRS7 rotary switch
The use of a modern one will require an additional relay or two and an adapter harness.
