Gauge bezels
It was recently pointed out to me, as I am striving for originality, that my gauges had half-v bezels and should be full-v bezels.
Can anyone confirm for me which gauge bezels were on the 427 Street roadsters?
Cheers
Greg

Greg,
427 roadsters had the Smiths full-vee bezels, 427 SC instrument layouts also had Smiths full-vee bezels, and early 260/289 cars had Smiths full-vee bezels as well.
I'm not aware that any cars (CSX2xxx or CSX3xxx) had Smiths half-vee bezels as original equipment.
Cheers,
Glen

Thanks Glen. I guess I'll have to source a set and then change mine out.

Thanks Roger. They've got the small gauge rims but not the large rims for the speedo and tach. I'll continue the search.

Ask CAI (Speedy Cables). They make complete new instruments, including the larger ones, with 'v' bezels, so they should be able to sell the bezel separately.

Agreed, Caerbont Cobra are nice people. I needed a double-vee bezel for a 60mm clock, and they sent me one, no cost and free postage.
Alternatively, Nisonger Instruments at Mamaroneck (NY) are very good too.
Cheers,
Glen
