Default Pictures of front air intakes?

Does anyone of closeups of the correct treatment (grille or no grille) of the front air intakes for the foot box vents next to the radiator intake on an original 427 car?

Thanks.

Production street 427 Cobras had grilles competition and S/C 427 Cobras did not.

Do you know if this is the correct stuff for the grilles on the street 427 cars (Roadsters I presume)?

Expanded Metal | Grating Pacific Call (800) 321-4314

I believe all the 427 S/C cars would also have had those air intakes plumbed to the brakes. Not the foot boxes like the Roadsters.

Here are a few pics of my installation, the pretty side and the dark side.
I used 1/4" stainless steel button head bolts and nyloc nuts to hold the grill and air duct in place. The grill came from Finish Line and the duct from Cobra Restorers.

Cheers
Greg

Certainly! This one and the other photos I have of #3240 indicate it was in original condition when the photos were taken.

I'd installed expanded mesh grills on my other car and I used some thick beads of RTV. Let that sit up a couple days and never had any issues with them coming loose. No bolts showing, a five minute job, and badda bing.

The comp cars had no screen and all the air was diverted to the brakes. The footbox vent was only on the drivers side and was fed air from a small vent on the inner fender well. Pictures are of CSX3020.
