Default Hood rivets

Here's a question; If SAI thought it necessary to give the leading edge of the hood on the 427 SC extra rivets, how come none of the comp 289 cars (Fia etc) have this mod?

Long story short, the 289 comp cars did have them.

The real question here is, if SAI thought it necessary to put a 427 side oiler in the 427SC, why didnt they put one in the 289 comp cars?

The 289 chassis couldn't handle a 427. Research 'The Turd'. Given some more development time, I'd take that ally 390 in a 427 chassis any day over an FIA.

Also, the 289 chassis was narrower than the 427 chassis which would have made a very tight fit for the 427.

I know, I was trying to be humorous more than anything else. It's hard to convey through text sometimes though. I'm a 289 FIA fan myself. FIA cars, USRRC cars and Daytonas will always win me over. . . . and there are some modified slab sides that I fell in love with too.
