Classic roadsters motor mounts
I have a set of original classic roadster motor mounts for a small block, with the correct and hard to find ford mounts. These have been bolted to the engine and then mounted to the frame but the engine never ran. the parts are brand new. No reasonable offer will be refused.

Don,
Think I have a set of these in a box somewhere. One set OEM Ford early SBF motor mounts for MII, one set CR frame mounts lowered to 351W use, and one set CR frame mounts unmodified for 302 use. U need 'em?

Pick me! Pick ME!!!
Jack -
You've got a set of the 351-ized old-style CR motor mounts? How can I jump to the front of the line? I've followed your work getting the new style to work, but replacing with like-kind sure sounds easier to me.
Thanks,
JLW

I'm not starting any bidding war, just cleaning out the garage of unused parts. I oughta put up another list.
jwinkler, there's a reason the old 351-ized motor & frame mounts are in the box, and the new style are in the car (and working quite well). If you can get CR, Don, or DV to part with a pair of their new style frame mounts that uses late Mustang motor mounts with the 14mm bolt, you'll only have to install them once. Use Energy Syspension urethane motor mounts and trans mount.
There is no bargain to it if you have to do it over again, and motor mounts are a mutha to put in a car with the engine already installed. And making a buck isn't worth loosing a friend.
If, none of the above are using the new late Mustang style mounts, I'll dig out my drawings and have a few sets made for you guys. The difference is quite dramatic.
Don makes some mildly powered Cobras that wouldn't be debilitated with soft motor mounts.
Don, send me your e-mail. I have some other leftovers you might be able to use.

Actually I use the old style mounts on the Sebring's. Those haven't been converted to the new style. I use the new style on all the Cobra's.
Jack, I didn't mean you when I said a bidding war, I was referring to Wally. Just a joke anyway. My e-mail is dscott@mainstreetcom.com let me know what you have.

Ok now lets stop this right now . You guys are scaring the children. I being the oldest child. What is the frenzy with CR motor mounts ? The set I have on the car now appear ok ,is there going to be a problem if they wear out? I just broke my first Pinto throttle cable and I plan on buying two and carry a back up.Are you guys telling the world that if Ineed new motor mounts, it is going to be more involved thana trip to NAPA?
By the way, the trip back from the track was fun . I set the idle at 2500 and put- -put -putted all the way home. But she was running 13's all day in 96 degree heat and 85 percent humidity.
No crazy vibrations, no gremlins of any sort and I go and take it to the track and flog it in summer heat. I ask for my own problems!
Ah hell I had fun ,it makes me feel like a kid again!
