Hi Stan!
Suggest you write about what doesn't fit to attract some attention?
There are quite a few people here who successfully used the plans. And discussed their findings. A new thread like yours may be suitable to sum them all up.

CR Plans
Hello, I built a 427 using the CR plans and found several problems too. Nick at Acton Custom has been making changes to the plans and can probably help you get past the problems. I will try to help, you can use the PM system on this site or email direct, karlmckeever@verizon.net
Start a build thread and post many fotos.
good luck, Karl

scuttle hoop
What threw me aside for the first 2 chassis (pic shows the 3rd one) was the dimensions for the scuttle hoop. And honestly, I need to dig in my files for the correct height!

You will find that the plans leave you with a greater than 90" wheelbase chassis.

Thank for the replies.
first up I changed the dive in the front from 8 deg to 6 deg as suggested somewhere on here.
Im going to work on the front first but ive never done control arms before.
Ihave mustang ii control arms on my other cobra but these wont be long enough for this setup I don't think.
What have you guys used in yours?
Stan.
Ill unload a few pics off of the phone soon.

427 suspension
Hello, I used a complete set from a CSX4000 car, the owner upgraded to billet aluminum and I bought the take off parts. It was a almost complete package, only brake calipers & caliper brackets were missing.
regards, Karl

If you have OE uprights (which are the most difficult to acquire and expensive part of the equation),I would HIGHLY recommend hitting up CobraKiwi for the goods you need. The right castings, and quality that can't be beat!
