You can say that again, for a 4500 mile "original" car it sure was rough.

I know where it came from, barn in NH. It actually was higher mileage though 4710 ;-)

I am a sceptic as it is very rough. Wonder if it really sold or if it was an auction hype. Seems like a record for a WS car with its only real history is that it sat in Bow NH with mice living in it.

Where are you going to find a car with that mileage on it? That has to be the reason for the price don't you think, that and how original it is. We all know the originals are rough, crude and basic and do not look consistent with the values they are commanding.

Come on Nick (you did call it though Kudos)
That car 2034 was stored hard and parts were missing for such low miles, makes me question it. Maybe it was truly just bad storage and cridders hotel......
If that car fetched $2MM what would Hanks car 2227 be worth, it at least is fully in tact just more miles... I would argue way more untouched...
Dirtbag would be worth more $$$
Matter of fact Lynn would have the barn finds of the century as most of his collection are low miles and complete..
CSX3021 is also a 3873 mile car, would it be worth even more than 2034? I think it sold for north of $3MM but it turned out to be an auction inflator and later sold for less to a real buyer.
Seems like this car would not be the car to set a standard, but the world is a crazy place... could be true?

I am no expert but consider where the Auction was and the money. The car does have a pretty good story to go along with it I am not surprised at the amount it brought Meccum had a 69 Boss 429 that brought 500,000.00 that even seems high I just think right place right time And a whole lot of money

The car wasn't in rough condition because of storage issues, it was rode hard and put away wet if that is the case. Things that do not equate to the "preserved original" state are the engine replacement, induction system, missing bits and bobs. Sorry but something smells fishy in Monterey. I've seen cleaner barn finds on "Chasing Classic Cars", LOL!

By the way there are differences in the as delivered new "rough, crude and original" vs what this car represented.
