Default Shelby American Documentary 2019

So I’m usually late to the party but did not see a thread with this Documentary posted here.
Just watched this last night and I will say I learned a lot. It was pretty well put together and the number of interviews with the Shelby American drivers , mechanics and retired Ford and Ferrari folks that were a part of that history was really cool. Watch this soon if you like all history related to the Shelby American days.

Agreed a excellent documentary by Adam & Adam. Unfortunately even they got the story wrong about the 66 LeMans finish. I've heard the same story (True?) from 3-Shelby Employee's that we're at the race, it was simply a "Timing & Scoring" error? That the French (ACO) wanted a pair of "International" drivers rather then a "American & Aussie" drivers win. Back then Bruce (McLaren) and Chris (Amon) were well known F-1 drivers. Dennis (Hulme) was less known back then, thou a little better known after a 67 F-1 Championship . Remember the 66 Monte Carlo Rallye, when the French disqualified the Mini's & Lotus Cortina's for running the wrong headlights dripping switch so the Citroen DS-19 could win. And no this isn't a "April Fools" Joke, or is it Happy April 1st. everybody, Cheers TommyRot. BBC ON THIS DAY | 21 | 1966: Future of Monte Carlo rally in doubt

Look's like no one caught my April Fools Joke's here. First it was (Denny) not Dennis,
and second they (Bruce & Denny) were New Zealander's (Kiwi's) not Aussie's. I thought the boys own under would catch that I Guess I'll try and do better next year. TommyRot.

Just a little too subtle I guess. I did not get April fooled yesterday, nor did I fool anybody.

Excellent movie, wonderful original footage and insightful commentary from people who were actually there. This is a movie that easily fits into the must see category and no matter how many times you have heard various parts of the Shelby story the movie will add depth to what you already know — don't miss it.

Kia ora Tommy! I did see your post, and suffered immense frustration at not being able to reply until JUST NOW!! (five days!) because of the old "can't login because of 5 failed attempts" trick.
Much as I'd like to claim Bruce and/or Denny as Aussies, they are of course Kiwis

edit: ...and of course, Chris Amon partnered Bruce McLaren! (Chris Amon was, of course, a Kiwi as well)

Cheers!
Glen
