Default Shelby American - New Book from Colin Comer

Shelby American - 60 Years of High Performance , by Colin Comer with Rick Kopec

Just received this new book that was released earlier this month. Its another nice chronicle of the company and what they achieved in a few short years through great photos. Very nicely done. Cover shot shown here.

Do this have pictures of the frame, suspension and engine compartment or just another history book with vintage pictures of complete cars?

No detailed pictures of frame, suspension, or engine compartment. Also note the book covers Mustangs and GT40's as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I was just looking for a book with a description of the history of the GT40 for a gift to my brother. This book is of course not entirely devoted to this model, but if the quality is good, then it might be a good idea.

Re GT40 books: If you can hold on for a few months, the ultimate book(s) on the GT40 are due to be published later this year by Porter Press. No less than four (4!) volumes that will tell the whole story as the original author had access to Ford's store of paperwork - many thousands of pages - and I recall talking to him about his forthcoming masterwork back in 2008. It's a been a looong time coming! But expect intimate details of every nut & bolt. Start saving now...although I'll believe it when I see it
