Spark Plug Wires, Webers, 289, Which?
So what I have is a mess, plain & simple. I put this set of wires on the motor when it had a 4bbl carb & it has never been right since the Webers went on the motor. I want to put new wires on the car & I want them to look "somewhat" original(They need to be re-routed, obviously. Too short to do so now). The 8.8 Taylors are fine, I could go that route again, but just wanted to see what others think. I see ford racing has black perfomance wires? I'm running MSD ign, if that matters to anyone. Any thoughts?

Spiral wound, not solid core with MSD. Lower resistance. OE wires were 7mm.

That is nice, but black is a must. Red looks too modern, to me.

I think I went with flamethrower 7mm wires from Pertronix.

Hyde:
Here is a link to the Pertronix Part Number as currently available through Summit:
PerTronix Flame-Thrower 7mm Stock Look Spark Plug Wire Sets 708105 - SummitRacing.com
Here are the lengths of the wires (cyl,length): 1,26 2,28 3,28 4,28 5,32 6,32 7,34 8,34
Also, make sure you have the correct dizzy cap if you buy these. They require a female terminal on the cap.

Thanks, Allen. My routing needs to look more like what you have! Black wires & outside the carbs ! Nice work !

Here's a couple more views, Hyde...the picture I posted up there irritates me b/c of how unrelaxed my fuel lines look...I have since lengthened them... Your ERA has always been an inspiration for my own, so thank you for the compliment!
Just for the sake of discussion, here is another variation on a theme that would work with your linkage. This is Fran Kress' car, csx2375.
In order for this to work, you would likely need to go with longer lengths - an alternate Pertronix part number for the wires, 708104
Here are the lengths of the wires (cyl,length): 1,30 2,32 3,32 4,32 5,32 6,35 7,35 8,36
- Allen.

Yeah, the problem there is that I have a center bell crank & linkage. It already rubs on the wires. I want to eliminate that possibility & route outside the carbs. I like the look, it's just problematic with the wires going down through the center. Thanks for the pics!

You know the thought occurred while seeing both of your beautiful set-ups-that's a lot of fuel plumbing across the top of the motor.
I know you guys only pump about 3 psi of fuel, but consider a halon nozzle (or whatever is legal now-a-days) at the firewall, pointed out to the carbs and plumbed to an on-board system.
Jus' sayin'...

Check out the FireCore50 ignition wires. Many high end Drag cars use them. They are Black!
