Default 347 stroker in 302 out

Need help
took out 302, installed 347 stroker from BLUE PRINT. Everything fit installed engine in car with the same steel bell housing and same T5 tranny. Motor mounts fit back perfectly...BUT the trans mount is off 3/4 to 1" and the drive shaft is 3/4 to 1" too long. All parts were same except the block--but all heads, pan, etc fir perfectly

help Jan here or email tubbsjan@gmail.com

My guess is the motor mounts aren't symmetrical, and they were reversed or flipped when you put the new engine in - thereby moving the engine rearward the 3/4-1" you're seeing.
Ron61 and spdbrake like this.

I think that the prior post may be right. The motor mounts on my 289 are asymmetrical. Take a look at them and switch them from side to side.
