Question ext. Oil cooling on LS ?

Hello!
Changing to ext. Oil-Cooling seams to be a bit of work for me.
The LS(6) has a small filter on the left back, above the possibility to mount an ext. cooling system.
I would like to have a bigger filter external and a thermostat.
The filter has a 13/16 In. - 16 thread, this is very unusual in Europe, so is it possible to leaf the filter there and having a second external? Or does it need to be locked?
Thx

with this adapter I would go to the ext. filter mount

after a thermostat like that

Yes, you can leave the filter in the stock location, and add another one in series with a cooler.

That being said, why would you? Modern equipment is good enough that it's not necessary. And, it will increase resistance through the system - which is not a good thing.

You only need a oil cooler if you're racing on a road course. For street driving, the oil will not get Ot enough to perform like it should. So as weight, complexity, cost, and leak points. Really not worth the hassle and cost.

Austria_Cobra, forgive me, but I tried a quick search via Google and lots of options came up. Take a look. I am sure some of the results will answer your needs.
