*Bump*
Hi all, like the original poster said, I'm looking for a solid 427FE mechanic close to the hi-desert in California. I've got a 427 top oiler with a 2x4 setup that needs a new set of carbs/tune/ to get running the right way.
I'm hoping that in the last year a few other experts may be around. Trailering the car 3 hours away to JBA is San Diego will hopefully be a last resort.
Thanks in advance!

If you are in the high desert Dralle. If this is a period correct engine you should stick with the original carbs and have them restored.

Yep...it's a period correct engine, but not the carbs are not. As a newb I can't post pictures yet...which of course would help out a bunch! I'll reach out to them tomorrow and see if I can set something up with them.

Where exactly are you located, it would help with giving accurate references?

The Car is in Victorville. Back when I lived there it was only 2 hours to San Diego. However, just coming back from California last week, I was shocked at how crazy traffic has become! What was one a 30 min drive is now 1.5 hours in some areas...lol!
