SPF Side Pipes. Pls Help
Hi guys,
I seriously need your help here.
I am looking to place a 4 disc silencer into my SPF standard pipes muffler area., Car Chemistry Shop
I need to know what the internal measurement area of the muffler is, will i need the 3.5inch or the 4 inch disc part to place inside.
Many thanks for the help, seriously appreciated.

try 2" the front of the muffler looks like a rectangle than opens up, main section of muffler is 2" or 1 3/4"

Thxs Madmaxx,
I was actually thinking it might be 4inch as i was told that the tail down turn was 3.5inch and runs into the end part of the muffler that was 4inch, but i wanted to make 100% sure here...
I will try and find another solution...
Really appreciate your effort..
Cheers,

The stock sidepipes already strangle that engine.
Why do you want to further strangle it? The stock SPF muffler is a maximum 2" in diameter. About perfect for a mild 302. Your engine needs at least 3" to even begin to breathe like it should.
Why have that big horsepower motor if you won't let it breathe?

Hi Jim,
Its to get the Cobra through the inspection process, its just for the day, once every 2 years.
I have Ron Roberts perfect pipes that let the Snake spit its venom.
Guess i should have given the reason before raising other eyebrows.
Cheers.

Don't need all that much steel wool, use the coarse kind, to remove take out the restictor device and crack the throttle! Oh and make sure no one standing next to pipes.
