Default Reinforced Shock mount today..

After some research I decided to go this route. It was the cheapest and easiest for me to do. I used 1/4" steel and just made a truss, welded it to the frame and top of shock mount. Before I installed it I made sure the mount was at 90*, then welded it. I gained almost 1 inch in the rear. I was able to hammer down the mount a little. Here are some pics how I did it.
Don't mind my welding..It's not pretty, but does the job.

That's nothing like RT's shock mount.

Yes, I got part of the idea from them. The angle gusset part....I tack welded the original bracket on the bottom part to the frame. Welded the top angle to the original and angle to the frame with 1/4" steel. It should be just as strong. The bracket will break before the welds.
