Default Superformance People at Watkins Glen?

Any group of Superformance people planning to be at Watkins Glen Event this weekend? I will be in attendance this year. Hope to run into a few of you.

Blas,

I know that Rick Muck is putting together a group of people, i just texted him to ask when he will be there and he plans on being there around 9:30 on Sunday. I will be racing my MGB and will be there from Thursday through Sunday. It would be nice to meet you. I plan on stopping by to see Rick and the group in between races that morning. They usually get on the track for some laps at lunch time. typically about 6-10 cobras/GT40's show up.

Jim

Yes, I'll be around at Rick's with Ross Henry. Also at Dennis Olthoff's and John Croppers. Plan on attending all 3 days. Hope to meet a few people. Still need to find the info for the in town events.

Blas,

Friday afternoon for the car show on Franklin street and then the old course recreation run. Tons of people milling about taking in the flavor (as well as sausages and beer!) Make sure you get to Seneca Lodge for the bar scene. It's really hard not to see something you will like and meet a lot of people who like the same things we do.

And hit the Motor Racing library. Virtually EVERY book ever written on cars and racing on the stacks.

Oh, and bring some GT and MK III wire diagrams...we will sell them here.

Dropped my ca off today. Olthoff has three GT40's there. Going to ask what the fee is to rent one for a weekend; probably more than I have into my MGB.

left before I saw your message Rick. Didn't even bring brochures with. I actually contributed to that library when it first opened. Gave them an index to Vintage Motorsport Magazine complete to that date.
Will be drinking wine and/or beer somewhere there tomorrow afternoon. Need to add to my tee shirt collection too.

At the Glen, here is our display with Olthoff Racing as well as the Superformance GT40 Roadster conversion. And of course the Superformance GT40s that are handled by Olthoff Racing for their "arrive and drive" customers.

And remember we have laps Sunday at the lunch break. Weather forecast is great so fuel up the Superformance and drive!

More SPF'ers showing up. Several that we didn't get pictures of and some who came without cars ("so I had a business trip nearby and made this work")

Lots more on Sunday, still time to come out and join us for laps.

Glad to help and happy to know you made it home OK.

Lesson here is make sure the tech tightens the halfshaft to diff bolts!
