Default It's time for the next obsession....

I am going to be putting my JBL up for sale. Gonna miss her for sure.

Of course this is after spending a couple of years getting everything sorted out and working perfectly.

Just not enough driving time available lately, so maybe someone else can enjoy the thrill of the overkill of power, the lookers and thumbs up waves that are all part of the package.

Selling the car does not mean leaving the club. Who knows when I might show up in Cobra number four! (No I am not trying to keep up with Jay and Gary on number of Cobras owned).

Once you sell it then you'll start craving the next one!

GT40! It's the only next choice.

I love the GT40. Not sure how well I would fit.

Lots of GT40 recreations out there. But if you want the raw power, no nannies like the Cobra, but creature comforts then consider a Ford GT. That is what I did.

Also consider a Daytona Coupe. Depending on which you get you can get creature comforts (like A/C and radio) and a touring car (from Superformance, now branded as the Shelby CSX9000) or the raw race car if you want it that way. Others do the Coupe too but I don't know much about them.

what sell the JBL? you don't sell... you just get a bigger garage. Stacey is tired of my excuses for not tracking the car... so I am building a 40x60 shop with at least one lift I hate working under jack stands

Hope to have some new ideas I have been wanting to implement on my JBL for a few years ready for next annual meeting. I would say I will become a regular again at the monthly meetings but Andrew's baseball schedule seems to kill that.

Clois,

Do you have any completed pics of the JBL Coupe? I saw a few Larry had and it was almost done.

JBL is the Best chassis design in the Cobra world, bar none.

New JBL Coupe Build

Not sure if this will work. PM me John with an email address and I'll send you more pics. I'd call it 95% done.

Congratulations or condolences?

I was watching a old car racing movie, and it had a convertible GT 40. Is such a thing possible. With my height, a GT 40 is out of the question.

See the ERA GT Spyder:

MK II Spyder Replica by E.R.A.

They are declining new orders now to work off backlog. No info on when they will resume.
