Smile Pulled the Trigger

I just submitted the wire transfer to Radical Roadsters of Texas so James Yale can start putting together my new BDR in Sterling Gray with Silver. After lurking here and other places for the past six months, reading and learning what I can it was time; thank you all for your sharing because it helped a lot!

I visited James down in Houston yesterday and we worked out my car. James is a great guy and helped me filter out things that weren't going to build the car I wanted. I do have to curse him a little, because he had an Inglese 8-stack EFI in his office to be installed in another car. I had talked myself out of one until I saw that one. So, mine will have one in black sitting atop the Keith Craft Small Block 427.

We're targeting completion in early March. Once I get off my work laptop I will upload a picture of the chassis and then update the build as it progresses over the next few weeks.

Congratulations on your Backdraft purchase. I have known James Yale for many years and you have definitely selected a quality builder. I aquired a very nice FE powered car in 2007 and met James at a car show later that year and we became friends. Although I have never purchased a car from him we have spent many hours at car shows, Cobra events and I have been to his shop. He is extremely knowledgable and meticulous about his builds. Plus, he always wiling to help other owners without exception and he really stands behind the cars he builds. You will not be disappointed! Welcome to the most fun you have ever had on 4 wheels.

James built mine in grey with silver with the KC 408. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks all,

I feel like a child waiting for Christmas morning to arrive.

I'm working on getting the buy-in from my wife for San Marcos.

SLester,

Make plans to join us the evening of Saturday January 31st at Lefty's (see other thread).
It will go a long way for getting that buy-in for San Marcos.

Beware... buy-in cuts both ways in San Marcos (my 2cents):
- outlet mall is right next door to the hotel
- impact on bar tab (20-40% less when supervised)

PS: Welcome to the Madness, and living life as a Superhero !
