Default What size wheel

Hi, I'm a new member on club cobra and found this to be the most informative site for people owning a cobra. I have a 2000 street beast. The person I purchased it from changed the wheels from 15 to 17 inch. He didn't do his homework and the tires stick outside the fender by 2 inches. We made the 17s work clearance wise but they sand blast the rear quarter and I just had the whole car repainted and I won't put the car on the road until I get the right size wheel. Question is, does anyone own one of these and know the correct wheel size. My cobra is on a mustang 2 frame with front discs. Thanks in advance

Sounds like the problem may be with the back-set and not the rim height. Can you compare Back-set on the original 15" that fit to the 17"?

I had the same problem. Buy yourself a sizing jig: Percy's High Performance 01201 Wheelrite Wheel And Tire Simulator, Summit Racing, about $75, could save thousands and lost hair follicles.
