Default Gps using cable speedometer

Browsing through my Classic Motorsports magazine, this ad caught my eye.
Allows you to use your existing cable connected speedo to a GPS system. No changing to incorrect looking instrument. Any one have experience of this set up?

I happen to be a beta tester for the Classic Speed. Because I wanted to keep the original instruments in my Healey when I did the V8 swap, it was the perfect solution to matching the T5 with the Healey speedometer without having to do all the transmission gear changes to get a correct speed readout. I'm very happy with the unit and it also is great for those who make a lot of gear or tire size changes. To top it off, Pam and Brian Induni are nice folks who are real enthusiasts. And, in the interest of full disclosure, I did get a free unit for being a beta tester.

Wow...I like that! I have an adapter that converts the VSS signal from the trans to an electric motor that runs the speedo. It is called Cable-X. It works fine, but after it gets nice and warm, it goes a bit whacko. This would be cherry! I wonder how it works in the city though. I know my Garmin GPS stopped working when I got into NYC a few years ago. Thankfully I had my phone for directions.
